I qualified from Edinburgh University in 1985 and spent 7 years in mixed practices in Kent & in Holt, North Norfolk before specialising in small animals and settling down with my family in Norwich.
Our objective was to develop a practice that delivers the kind of care that we would want to receive for our own pets.
With the help of a great team of dedicated staff this very much remains at the heart of what we do.
We have two grown up children & are entertained by our cat Midge, a tabby female who got her name for being a pest, like her namesakes and a lovely Shepherd cross called Sonny, who keeps us on our toes because she is so sociable.
Outside work I have enjoyed supporting a charity, Trees for Life, who run an inspirational reforestation scheme in the Highlands of Scotland to restore areas of the ancient Caledonian Forest.
Over the years I have participated in half a dozen volunteer work weeks with them, dragging both my kids up with me before they each started university.
